DRTM-HOM1300

Board Description

RTM 8 Channel high order mode detector for 1.3 GHz: The DRTM-HOM1300 measures simultaneously 8 signals coming from an higher order mode (HOM) pick up. It offers gain adjustments and filtering for 3 individual modes for each of the 8 channels. The analog processing is implemented on 4 filter mezzanine cards where each mezzanine processes 2 channels and is equipped with humidity and temperature sensors. The RTM comprises also an ultra-low-noise VCSO-based clock generation which provides the sampling clock for the ADCs on the AMC side. Furthermore, it is possible to mount a temperature controller mezzanine on the RTM which can regulate the temperature of the whole board by means of heaters. The sensitive electronics is encapsulated within an RF shield. Signals are fed to the board over 8 SMA connectors on the front panel. Besides probes, the RTM requires also the machine RF reference which is sued for channel calibration and clock generation. The processed probes are passed over the Zone 3 which is class RF1.0 compliant. The multipin differential Zone 3 connector provides MMC1.0 compliant management, DC power and user i2c connection for sensor read out and gain control.
